It is understood that “Kretaestate Rental Services”, is acting
as an agent for the owner or local property Management Company. The customer,
by booking the property on “Kretaestate Rental Services” web
site or signing the Booking Form, agrees to abide by the following Rental
Agreement:
1. How to make reservations.
In order for “Kretaestate Rental Services” to accept your booking
your party leader must read these conditions. The person who signs or 'submits'
the booking form does so, on behalf of all the members of the party and
binds them jointly to these terms and conditions. When you ask us to confirm
your booking we will allocate you your chosen property and confirm your
reservation.
2. Payment and Rental Duration
Minimum rental period is 1 week. At the time of your booking you will be
asked to pay to “Kretaestate Rental Services”, an initial deposit
of 30% of the total cost. This payment is your only commitment until 1 month
prior to your arrival. The remaining balance of the rental cost must be
paid at least 1 month prior to your arrival.
If the payment of the remaining balance is not received on time, “Kretaestate
Rental Services” reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled.
If the initial booking occurs within 30 days of the arrival date, the total
rental amount is required for booking confirmation. Upon receipt of the
final payment a confirmation email with directions to the property will
be sent to the customer.
3. Cancelling
If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so by sending written confirmation.
The person who signed/submitted the booking form must also sign the letter.
In the event of a cancellation and to compensate for the expense of processing
your booking and for any loss that may result from being unable to re-sell
the holiday house, we charge the following cancellation fees:

Cancelling between 42 - 31 days before arrival, you have to pay 60% of total
rental price.
Cancelling between 30 - 0 days before arrival, you have to pay 100% of the
total rental price.
4. Insurance.
Holiday and travel Insurance, including cancellation cover, is essential
for your own protection and we strongly recommend that you and all members
of your party be suitably insured as “Kretaestate Rental Services”
is not responsible for any physical injuries caused to the customers during
their stay at the property.
5. Arrival and Departure.
All units are available from 16.00 on arrival day and must be left empty
at 12.00. The maid, gardener, pool man need this time to prepare the accommodation
properly for incoming guests. Although you are not required to vacate your
property before 12.00 please be aware that staff may arrive before this
time.
At the time of booking the customer must advise “Kretaestate Rental
Services” of their arrival time. Any change in arrival date or time
must be approved by “Kretaestate Rental Services” at least one
week prior to arrival at the property. On arrival the customer must show
the rental voucher and passport or identity card to the owner or his/her
representative; these documents are required for traveller registrations
requested by individual national law.
6. Security Deposit.
Våre huseiere er blitt enige om at de ikke skal kreve et forhånds
innbetalt depositum for eventuelt ødelagt utstyr eller møbler.
Vi håper og tror at leietakeren vil rapportere til oss dersom en skade
oppstår, slik at denne kan gjøres opp på stedet. Eventuelt
skadeoppgjør gjøres opp direkte til representant for Kretaestate
Rental Service eller blir trukket på kundens kredittkort.
7. Pricing.
Prices are based on market conditions. “Kretaestate Rental Services”
therefore reserves the right to modify prices in the case of considerable
fluctuation of the rate of exchange.
8. Maintenance and Damages.
The owner or his/her representative has, if necessary, free access to the
property for essential maintenance purposes (garden, swimming pool, etc.)
or inspections. The property could be inspected once a week or before the
customers’ departure. “Kretaestate Rental Services” will
notify customers one day ahead of the inspection. One representative of
the renters has to participate during the inspection. Customers are responsible
for all damages to equipment and furniture caused by any reason except normal
daily use.
In case of a problem during your holiday, immediately inform us so we will
try to put things right. If you fail to do this we can’t accept responsibility,
as we not had the opportunity to investigate and rectify the damage or problem.
Although we will make every effort to deal with the problem promptly, a
reasonable amount of time should be allowed for repairs to be completed
by outside contractors. In the unlikely event that a problem is not satisfactorily
resolved during your stay we require written notification within 14 days
after your completion of your holiday.
9. Number of Guests.
The number of persons (adults and children) may not exceed the maximum number
of sleeping places indicated in the property description. Also at no time
must any more persons occupy a property than stated on the booking form,
except with prior written agreement.
10. Pets.
We regret that pets are not permitted at some of our properties.
11. Heating.
Central heating costs are always extra and are not included in the rental
price, unless specifically noted.
12. Responsibilities.
The descriptions of locations and accommodations are provided in good faith
and in the belief that they are accurate based on the latest information
received. However, “Kretaestate Rental Services” declines all
responsibility for any modifications made by the owners without our knowledge.
The Villa properties “Kretaestate Rental Services” offers are
not official tourist structures or hotels.
Rather, they are private homes. Being such, they do not have standards or
categories recognized internationally, but instead reflect in their architecture
and furnishings the local traditions and personal taste of the owners. Customers
must accept differences in the properties, architectural or cultural, relative
to their own homes.
Any real deficiencies or problems in the property must be communicated directly
to the property owner or his/her representative prior to the customer's
departure from the property, as “Kretaestate Rental Services”
is only an agent for the property owner or his/her representative and has
no authority to make settlements. Complaints issued following the customer's
return will not be considered, nor will give rise to any indemnity.
13. Jurisdiction.
In the event of controversy arising from the booking and property rental,
only the Greek Courts can deal with the matter.'
